KSA has won the commission for the interior of the library De Plataan - in the colourful Grote Kerk in Vlaardingen!

Happy and honoured: our House in Utrecht has been included in the new architecture yearbook of the Netherlands. The editorial team has carefully selected 28 projects, an inspiring company to be part of.

With our project the Predikheren we are part of the exhibition 'As Found: Experiments in Preservation.' On display in the Singel in Antwerp until March 17, 2024.

Together with our partners Geurst & Schulze Architecten, Pieter Bedaux and Urban Synergy, led by developer VORM, we will be working on the new Rotterdam Park16Hoven district in the near future. More information follows!

After winning a competition via Winvorm.be we look forward to a fine project and an equally fine collaboration with Sabine Okkerse in Westende Bad: in the coming months we work on the design to transform the St. Theresiakapel from the 1930s (built originally to accommodate mainly tourists!) into a bright and colourful tourist information centre.

With great enthusiasm, we started a special assignment: after an extensive tender phase, we work on the design for Huis 73 in Den Bosch, a challenging combination of library and cultural education, housed in two special building blocks in a fantastic historical location in the city centre, which we were asked to adapt, alter, renovate and redecorate.

Together with our partners Bovenbouw, Boom Landscape and Sabine Okkerse, we will work in the coming years on the redevelopment of the beautiful monumental Stuivenberg Hospital in Antwerp. More information will follow!

Korteknie Stuhlmacher Architecten is selected for Open Oproep 4004 as one of the four architects to work on the design competition for the development strategy of the conversion of the Sint-Martinus Church in Burcht into a cultural hotspot.

Together with AHA, noAarchitecten, Sergison Bates architects & BOOM landscape, Korteknie Stuhlmacher Architecten has won the competition of Citygate II/Petite Île. The mixed use project consisting of 400 apartments, two schools and 15.000 m2 of economic activities is located in Biestebroeck, an industrial area close to the canal in Brussels. The project is part of the Canal plan and will specifically dwell upon the idea of the productive city, using mixed programs to create lively and productive neighborhoods.

The team Maccreanor Lavington Architects: MLA + | Korteknie Stuhlmacher Architecten has won the invited competition for a building block in the inner city of Brussels consisting of new apartment blocks, an inner garden and the refurbishment of the monumental Paille building.

The care home Parkhof in Machelen has been published in the Flemish yearbook. A great honor. And beautiful company.

Youth facility Everaertsstraat Antwerp

After having won the competition last autumn we are happy to announce that we are now working on the VO of a complex youth facility in an inner city building blok in the North of Antwerp. 

Invited by professor An Fonteyne (NoA Architecten), Mechthild Stuhlmacher gives a lecture at the ETH Zürich on 'appropriation', about inhabitation, intimacy and the invitation to make buildings your own. 

The Van Eesteren pavilion has been nominated for the Amsterdam Architecture Prize 2018! Thursday April 12th there will be the announcement of the winners of the 'Golden AAP 2018 in Hotel Arena. There are in total 10 nominations.

Korteknie Stuhlmacher has been selected for the competition pool of the city of Antwerp 2017- 2022. We are pleased and proud to be part of a small team of 12 excellent offices and look forward to upcoming battles against our most respected colleagues!

On Sunday September 10th four buildings by us were open to the public, the elderly home in Machelen, two primary schools in Lille and Herentals and the Dominican Monastery in Mechelen, as part of the open monuments day. Thank you all for your visit!

We regularly document our work with plans, texts and photographs in a series of internal publications called Katern I, wonen/ living; Katern II, scholen/ schools; Katern III, gebouwen voor sport en cultuur/ buildings for sports and culture. The costs are € 12.50 per volume incl. postage. Up to now we only have a Dutch version but we currently work on an English edition too.
